Introduction to a whole food plant based lifestyle

About the day
I just love returning to my homeland, Great Britain! I have lived in Colorado for many years and now I am spending more time in Cornwall. I invite you to join me for this hands-on day of making whole food plant based recipes. We will prepare a variety of whole food dishes and I will share with you the elements of creating properly balanced meals. I know the big protein question will come up, so we will talk about how easy it is to consume adequate protein. In addition I will teach you how to make food with no oil. Yes NO oil!
The most important aspect of what we eat is what we absorb. To assist the absorption of essential nutrients you will learn why certain ingredients are combined in a recipe or meal.
After preparing the food we will enjoy it for lunch and the time spent around the table will be a further opportunity to ask questions. My hope for this introduction to whole food plant based nutrition is that you will leave the day with a growing confidence to experiment and create your own delicious meals.
During the day we will prepare:
- A winter warming soup
- Hummus – oil free
- Pesto – oil free
- Oil free dressings
- Energy bars
